Canadian Citizenship

After securing permanent residence status in Canada, the majority of permanent residents opt for Canadian citizenship. Canadian citizenship provides the right to vote, run in elections due to the high quality of living, security and safety of citizens, and access to other government services. In addition, Canadian passport holders can travel to over 120 countries without having to obtain an entry visa.

Applying for Canadian citizenship is simple, but in certain circumstances, it could lead to documentation and many complications, especially if the person has been out to Canada for long or has an extensive travel history.
